MetLife Gets Support In DC Circ. Appeal Over SIFI Label

Law360, New York (August 23, 2016, 8:18 PM EDT) — State insurance regulators, the Chamber of Commerce and other organizations threw their support behind MetLife on Monday, urging the D.C. Circuit to uphold a lower court’s ruling axing the insurance giant’s designation as a systemically important financial institution whose collapse could threaten the U.S. economy.
